A PLB is compact, lightweight EPIRB that once activated, sends a registered signal with position information to the Satellites and then forwarded to the National Authorities.
A PLB beacon is useful to people that are into amateur fishing, mountain climbing, hiking and generally to persons that do activities in isolated and remote areas.
